DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Work to restore the shoreline along a portion of the Lakewalk in Duluth will continue through October.
The project between Leif Erickson Park and 17th Avenue East will not require the Lakewalk’s closure but caution should be used during construction activities in the area.
Storms in 2017 and 2018 severely damaged and eroded the shoreline and the project will include stabilizing and replacing rock and planting native vegetation.
Funding is through FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.
