DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The public is invited to a National Water Trail ribbon cutting Wednesday at Chambers Grove Park in Duluth.
Hosted by the City of Duluth and the St. Louis River Alliance, the ceremony begins at 5 p-m and will feature food trucks, nature inspired educational activities, live music and kayak and stand-up paddle board demos.
The St. Louis River Estuary National Water Trail is now included in the National Parks Trail System and features 11 closed loop routes for paddlers of all skill levels and abilities.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, weather permitting, those attending are encouraged to launch their kayaks and canoes to try out the water trails.
