DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Traffic on Highway 61 will be shifted onto the newly constructed Silver Creek Bridge and a temporary bypass on Monday.
The intersection of the Loop Road and Highway 61 will also be opening.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says single lane traffic will be controlled by flaggers during the switch.
Grading will continue in the area through October with no traffic impacts expected.
Work will resume on that bridge and the Stewart River Bridge again next spring.
