DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Shipping figures through September show the Port of Duluth-Superior is about 8.8 percent below the five season average.
Executive Director of the Duluth Seaway Port Authority, Deb DeLuca, says July marked a turning point from a very slow start, August was very good and September was solid.
More than 20.3 million short tons of cargo has passed through the Twin Ports so far this year and DeLuca is hopeful the rally will continue with a good harvest season and more general cargo shipments.
