DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Residents of Duluth can now download a smart phone app that inspires daily climate action.
The Get Green mobile app awards “leaves” for app users who complete sustainable tasks. The “leaves” then translate to donations for local projects.
Get Green is a Seattle based start up that was founded in 2020 to develop an easy to understand sustainable solution that inspires action to reduce greenhouse gasses.
Duluth was chosen as a pilot site for the app and it was specifically tailored for the area by Ecolibrium3.
Many goals of the app align with the Duluth Climate Action Work Plan to reduce carbon emissions 50 percent by 2030.
The Duluth Sustainability Advisory Team says the app will make it easier for residents to connect, get involved and learn how to take action for the climate.
To download the app search Get Green at the App Store or Google Play.
