DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A late winter storm that moved across the region on Wednesday dumped 4 to 8 inches of snow that was whipped around by strong winds off Lake Superior.
Slippery, snow covered roads, large drifts and reduced visibility from blowing snow made getting around difficult through the day.
In Duluth, the National Weather Service office recorded 6.2 inches of snow which brought plow operators out in full force to keep the main streets open.
The snow plowing will continue on Thursday in the Twin Ports as crews begin working on residential streets and alleys.
The City of Duluth also reminds property owners to clear sidewalks to allow safe access for pedestrians within 24 hours and to assist neighbors who might need snow clearing help.
