DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Lake enhanced snow, accumulating from 2 to 3 inches, on Friday will be followed by another system that could bring some heavy snow Saturday afternoon through Sunday.
The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Winter Storm Watch for most of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin for up to ten inches of snow with 16 inches in the higher terrain of the North Shore of Lake Superior.
Travel in the region during the extended snow fall could be difficult to impossible.
Gusty east to northeast winds will result in blowing and drifting snow through the weekend and the snow will be followed by sub-zero wind chill readings Sunday night and Monday.
