DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – After making various threats to infrastructure in the Twin Ports on Facebook Tuesday, Duluth Police were able to locate the individual responsible and arrested him.
Several threats against police and plans to set off explosions at locations in Duluth and Superior were made in posts on the “Turtleboy Duluth” Facebook page.
After a large number of 911 calls about the online threats, Superior Police contacted private security teams to make sure the facilities mentioned in the posts remained secure.
Following an investigation, the Duluth Police Crisis Negotiation Team and Tactical Response Team were sent to the 800 block of Charles Avenue.
The 30 year old suspect was arrested without incident about 8 p-m and taken to a hospital for an evaluation.
He faces pending charges of Felony Threats of Violence.
