DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – On Wednesday, as Duluth Police were getting ready to take their community engagement bus to an event in Lincoln Park, they noticed that one side of the bus was spray painted and vandalized.
According to a Facebook post, the phrase that was used in the vandalism was not appropriate to be repeated in the news release.
The bus is used throughout the year to connect the police with community events, many youth focused, and build positive relationships.
The bus, named Code-4, is often used to give away donated hot chocolate or ice cream during the event appearances.
An investigation into the vandalism is underway and police are asking anyone with information to let them know.
The bus was able to make it to the Wednesday night Community Action event thanks to clean up supplies from the Parks Department.
