ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) – According to figures from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), the state’s unemployment rate remained steady at 2.9 percent in June.
Nationally the unemployment rate was down a tenth at 3.6 percent.
Minnesota’s labor force saw 9 thousand people entering the labor market last month, the 4th month in a row with positive growth and the largest gain in 3 years.
Every Metropolitan Statistical Area including Duluth-Superior gained jobs over the year.
