MOOSE LAKE, MN (KDAL) – The Carlton County Sheriff’s Office was notified that a client from a group home had run away from an outing in Moose Lake Thursday afternoon.
Personnel from several agencies from Carlton, Pine and St. Louis Counties and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to the area to search for the man, identified as 30 year old Joshua Lee Bergan.
After an extensive search, a resident just west of Moose Lake spotted a man matching his description in his driveway around 7 p-m.
Bergan ran off before deputies arrived but he was located a short time later near 4660 West Road.
As authorities approached Bergan to speak with him, he charged at them and head butted one of the deputies.
Bergan was then arrested for 4th degree assault on a peace officer and was lodged in the Carlton County Jail.
