FOLEY, MN (MNN) – Three officers remain hospitalized in Minneapolis with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries and two officers shot in their bullet-proof vests have been released from a Saint Cloud hospital.
That followed a Thursday morning exchange of gunfire with a suspect while executing a search warrant at a residence in Glendorado, a small community between Saint Cloud and Princeton.
The suspect was also injured and is in custody and hospitalized.
Sheriff Troy Heck says the suspect, 64-year-old Karl Holmberg, fired at officers and there were several hours of negotiations before he was arrested without further incident.
The sheriff says a woman in the residence during the exchange of gunfire was taken to a hospital in Princeton, evaluated and released.
The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension continues its investigation.
