You might remember the last time the UMD men faced Northern Michigan. The Bulldogs made the trek to Marquette for a series in December of 2021. Unfortunately for UMD, it didn’t travel its full roster.
A UMD team severely impacted by a mini-outbreak of COVID pulled goalie Brady Anderson up off the UMD club team, as Zach Stejskal was still going through cancer treatment and Ryan Fanti had tested positive for COVID. So did Wyatt Kaiser.
With Ben Patt getting the only starts of his UMD career in goal, NMU swept the Bulldogs in a two-game series.
Sorry I just put that back in your memories.
Anyway, Northern Michigan is in Duluth for the first time since Feb. 6-7, 2015, a series UMD swept by 3-1 and 6-3 scores. Adam Krause, now on the UMD coaching staff, had a goal and three assists in the Saturday win.
Should be a good series.
No changes for UMD from Saturday, as expected.
