DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Thanks to a neighbor who called 911 and the quick response of Duluth firefighters, a residence at 2220 West 6th Street was spared from any major fire damage.
The residents of the home and family pets were able to get out safely and damage was limited to the rear exterior of the building.
The call was made at 5:56 p-m Monday and the first Fire Department units were on the scene by 6:01.
A power line was downed in the incident and, coincidentally, firefighters earlier in the day participated in a training session from Minnesota Power on how to safely deal with downed power lines.
