ORR, MN (KDAL) – One person is dead and another critically injured following a single vehicle crash Wednesday evening on the Nett Lake Road, southwest of Orr.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department, the vehicle was occupied by two teenage males and was traveling westbound when it went off the road, flipped over and hit a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene while the passenger was taken by helicopter to a Duluth hospital in critical condition.
It appeared that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the accident occurred and both occupants were wearing seat belts.
The crash is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office and the Midwest Medical Examiner.
The victim has been identified as 17 year old Travon Raymond Boshey from Tower.
Hospitalized was 17 year old Matthew Gerald Goggleye from Nett Lake.
