DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Grandma’s Marathon officials have announced that the 2024 William A. Irvin 5-K reached a sellout on the Friday after Thanksgiving, the earliest on record.
This year’s kickoff to Grandma’s Marathon weekend didn’t sellout until late April and the previous record was late December in 2019.
Over 2600 participants have signed up for the 5-K next June.
There are still a few spots in the race available in the Great Grandma’s Challenge where you run in both the 5-K and full marathon. Several 2024 Charity Partners also have free entries in the 5-K when fundraising goals set by the organization are reached.
The early sellout continues a trend as the half marathon filled in less than 100 hours and the full marathon has fewer than 2500 entries available which is on a pace that is two months ahead of last year.
