ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is again holding their “Name a Snowplow” contest.
The 4th annual event allows the public to suggest names for eight snowplows, one in each region of the state.
MnDOT is encouraging people to submit witty, unique and Minnesota winter based name ideas to their website https://www.research.net/r/MnDOTSnowplowSubmission2024 by noon on Friday, December 15th.
Only one name may be submitted per person and no vulgar or politically based names will be considered.
After finalists are picked, the public can vote on their favorites in January.
Past winners include names such as Plowy McPlow Face, Betty Whiteout, Blader Tot Hotdish and the Truck Formerly Known As Plow.
A complete list of past winners can also be found on the Name A Snowplow website.
