MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Silao, a Mexican unit of U.S. carmaker General Motors and its union have reached an agreement for a 9.2% wage hike, the union said in a statement on Thursday.
The agreement was reached on Tuesday, according to the statement, and also includes increases to the savings fund and food vouchers.
A company spokesperson did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
The rise is lower than the one seen last year, which stood at 10%.
Carmaker Audi also reached an agreement with its union this year, with wages climbing 7%.
