PORTAGE TOWNSHIP, MN (KDAL) – On Friday afternoon, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle crash in Portage Township, north of Orr.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on the Orr Buyck Road near Myrtle Lake.
An investigation is underway but authorities believe speed was a contributing factor in the crash.
The Sheriff’s Department has identified the victim as 30 year old Erikur John Weber Arnason from Hibbing.
