(Reuters) -Applied Materials received a subpoena from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) in May, requesting information relating to certain China customer shipments, it disclosed in a filing on Thursday.
The semiconductor equipment supplier was subpoenaed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in February.
Applied Materials, which supplies chipmaking tools to Samsung Electronics and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co, reported that 43% of its total revenue came from China in the second quarter.
