DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – As work continues on the Twin Ports Interchange Project, some ramp closures have been announced by the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).
On Saturday (6/1), the entrance to the Superior bound lanes of the Blatnik Bridge off Garfield Avenue will close again from 6 a-m to noon. That will allow for completion of bridge work over the ramp. During that time, motorists heading from Duluth to Superior will need to take the Bong Bridge.
Then on Monday, the on-ramp from 27th Avenue West to northbound I-35 will close through early July. The closure will allow for crews to finalize construction from 27th West to the southbound I-535 ramp.
There will also be some short term lane closures on northbound I-35 on Monday from 9 a-m to 6 p-m.
MnDOT says additional closures are anticipated throughout the Twin Ports Interchange project in the coming weeks. Check 511mn.org for updated traffic and travel information.
