DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Most of north central and northeast Minnesota, north of Duluth, is under a Flood Watch from Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
Heavy rainfall is possible across areas that have not fully recovered from the rains and flooding over the last several weeks.
Rainfall from an inch to 2 inches or more is possible with the heaviest rain expected late Monday night into Tuesday morning.
Excessive runoff could result in the flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other flood prone low lying areas.
The Flood Watch includes the BWCA which could make portage and hiking trails impassable and inundate low lying campsites.
